The Coggins Classic Charity Golf Tournament brings together local businesses, sponsors, golfers, and community members for one purpose: raising meaningful funds for a local nonprofit organization doing important work in our region.
Over the past four years, the Coggins Classic has collectively raised more than $150,000 to support organizations like Sunrise Family Resource Center, Bennington County Child Advocacy Center, Bennington Little League, and Cancer Center Community Crusaders.

Four Person Scramble: Each team member tees off on every hole. After the initial tee shots, the team selects the best shot out of their teammates and then each team member plays their next shot from that spot. This continues throughout the rest of the shots on the hole including putting.
Sponsorships are what make this event possible — and they’re a powerful way for local businesses to support the community while getting visibility with hundreds of attendees and supporters.
Sponsorship packages typically include options like:
Presenting / Title Sponsor
Lunch / Dinner Sponsor
Cart Sponsor
Contest or Hole Sponsor
Raffle / Prize Sponsor
Tournament day includes ways to win, donate, and have fun, such as:
Raffle prizes
50/50 or cash games (if applicable)
Putting contest / longest drive / closest to the pin (TBD)
Special sponsor activations
Details will be updated as the tournament approaches.
The Coggins Classic beneficiary is a hands-on partner, not a passive recipient.
Selected organizations are expected to:
Dedicate 2–3 planning representatives (April–August)
Attend planning meetings (monthly, then more frequently as the event nears)
Help solicit sponsors, donors, and players
Provide at least 5 volunteers to help run the event on tournament day
This structure helps us grow the tournament and maximize impact year over year.
